SAMPLE RESPONSE
Dear Principal Eleanor Vance,

I am writing to respectfully request a class change for my son, Leo Thompson, currently in Year 4B. While we appreciate his teacher's efforts, the current classroom environment is unfortunately not conducive to Leo's focused learning style. Disruptive dynamics among certain students are significantly hindering his ability to concentrate effectively.

This situation has negatively impacted Leo’s academic engagement and overall well-being. He has become increasingly withdrawn and anxious, showing a marked decline in school enthusiasm and reluctance to participate. His progress in core subjects, particularly literacy, has also noticeably slowed due to these persistent focusing difficulties.

I would be grateful for a meeting at your earliest convenience to discuss this. We believe placement in Year 4A, under Ms. Davies, known for her structured and nurturing approach, would significantly benefit Leo. We are, of course, open to exploring other suitable solutions. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Yours sincerely,
Sarah Miller
